Living in Abundance without living a productive life is nothing but magic. In this kingdom, you may expect miracles but don’t wait for magic.

Your gain in life depends on your sales.
If you have nothing you are releasing, you have nothing you are realizing.
From this point, let me tell you that to be productive you have to understand that you can be productive.

Image result for productivity

Genesis 1:28

If there is no ability to be fruitful in man, God will not issue that command.
You must therefore accept personal responsibility to utilize your potential and be productive.

The first lesson God taught Adam was responsibility:

1)       God brought all animals and said Name them
2)       He put him in a garden and said dress it
3)       Then he gave him, a woman and said take care.

Adam life would have been a waste without responsibility, he would have decayed out of idleness.

Friend your life should not get rotten away in accepting responsibilities.

Accept Responsibility for Self-Discovery:

Ask yourself what can I do? What is inside me. Convince yourself that you are not empty. Discover yourself.
Without discovery there is not distinction. That widow in II kings was asked an important question. II Kings 4:1-2

What is in your house, your tabernacle what are you carrying.

The key to your plenty is hidden in your potential.Inside your house, there is something to market.

In Matthew 25:14: the parable of the talent, everyone has his portion. Convince yourself, you have what it takes to enter permanent abundance without stealing and accept the responsibility of discovery it.

Every seed that is put into the soil accept responsibility of shooting forth and once its shooting forth, no matter how hard the ground is, it gives way!

Therefore no matter how dark or hard your environment is:
You can see the light of the day
You can shoot out through the loud

Accept Responsibility for Self Development: Matthew 25:14-17

The servant were given the goods by the master, they used their initiative to trade.

You have something in you that must grow. You must feed it by acquiring the knowledge and the skill.

If you need to undergo apprenticeship do it.
One of the enemies of productivity is inferiority complex. And this is destroyed if you develop yourself.

Accept Responsibility for Self Impact

You can be encouraged to be productive, but it is you that must take the step.
You must take practical steps or you won’t see presentable results.

There is no impact without attempted actions. There is no effect without efforts.

You can’t make a mark without being on your mark.Begin to try things. Don’t fold your hands.

Don’t be slothful

Slothfulness means inaction or sleepy approach to issues of life.It does not mean lack of strength, it means lack of steps.

Proverb 19:15.
Slothfulness does not look like a big affliction, it comes and destroys silently.

Proverb 6:10-11: It’s a little, a little, a little, then suddenly poverty and lack comes in.

Slothful people will end in regret, they will beg in harvest because they didn’t wake up to labor.

 Vital signs of Slothfulness

1)      Assuming: The slothful always assume that one day some good things will come.

2)      Believe in luck: Those who believe wholly in luck must accept lack

3)      Lack of self-value: The slothful always feel inadequate, either because of money or connection. The little he can do he won’t do. Self value determines public value

4).   Love of relaxation and rest Proverbs 20:13

…Love not sleep. Sleep is a rehearsal of death. The closest thing to death is sleep. So when u give yourself too much sleep you are practicing death.

The only place where the body will rest completely is in the grave. That’s why we put RIP. Please stay away from too much sleep.

When you sleep, everything slips out of your hand.
Can a dead man hold money? When you sleep can you see anything passing?

5).   Excuses Prov.22:13, 20:4

6).   Procrastination

You are created to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is your inheritance.

Praying without following the principles will only result into nothing but frustration.
You can’t access God’s power if you abandon God’s principles
“If ye be willing and obedient, you will eat the fruit of the land”
I want to teach you this morning, I do not want to excite you : though you will be excited.

God is not a respecter of any persons, if you follow the principles you will witness the power.

1.      Principle of Open Heaven
Every man operates under a “heaven space”.
It is marked out for that person. I have my heaven space and you have your heaven space.
Deut.28: 23, Mt.3: 16 a lot people stood by Jordan but the heavens opened upon Jesus.

It is possible for the heaven to be closed over a business, a family, a town (Amos 4:7)
In such condition supernatural speed is impossible!
It was the hand of God that came upon Elijah that made him to outrun Ahab. 1Kings 18:46. When the heaven is closed, that hand cannot reach you! Without an open heaven, there is no supernatural speed.

The prodigal sin left his father house and his heaven became closed!
All his investment was lost. He only recovered when he traced his steps back.

3 Things closes the heaven
1.     Sin - Isaiah 59:1-2
The hand of God for Supernatural speed can’t touch you, because sin has created a wall. You’ve got to deal with that sin to secure God and secure open heaven! Isaiah 59:20.

 2.     CURSES

When a man is under a curse his heaven is closed, nothing works

Different Types Of Curses

See if you are a Christian and you don’t know your right, you can remain under a curse, of course that does not stop you from getting to heaven but you can’t manifest on earth.
          (1)     Generational Curses Luke 20:29 - 32
                   7 brothers all died prematuredly
                                  all died with no issue
                   They all made heaven!
II Kings 5:27  (Leprosy on the seen of Gehazi)
Exodus 34:7
(2)         Territorial Curses
Joshua 6:26/II kings 2:19
Jericho was cursed until God’s servant took charge.
Judges 5:23 – Curse ye Meroz and curse ye the inhabitants thereof.
If you live in a cursed territory, your life may be in danger!
It may be accused house/company
(3)         Parental Curse Matthew 15:4/Proverb 30:17
(4)         Curse of the Prophet

Parental Curse Deuteronomy 27:16
He that bites the finger that fed him is about to settle for everlasting hunger.
To mock your parents is to settle for shame in destiny
Do you remember Reuben: He dishonored his father and was cursed
What of Ham/Canaan: cursed unto permanent servitude
There are 2 types of Parents: Physical and Spiritual
Way out – Genesis 27: 1-4, bless them with what you have and with their prayer.
Curse of the Prophet
If somebody prays and God answers be careful of him – God hearken to his counsel.
ü    Don’t discuss men of God and speak evil of dignities
ü    Don’t Gossip them if you want to live long
ü    Miriam and Aaron knows better
ü    The parents of those 42 Children will live to remember that day
ü    Those parents will teach other how to keep living by keeping their tongue

Avoid this kind of curse
Curses of God
This is the most prevailing curses in the body of Christ.Major reasons why God can himself place a curse on people includes:
1.      Trusting in Man  -        Jeremiah 17:5 –6
2.      Spiritual Robbery         Malachi 3:8-9
3.      Ingratitude                    Malachi 2:2
4.      Deceitful work              Jeremiah 48:10

When the heaven is open, no one can stop you.
What could not be done in 30 years, when the heaven open in Jordan in 31/2, it was accomplished, that is speed.
That will be your testimony in Jesus Name.

Preached By Bishop Sola Adetunji,Chapel Of His Power,Ado-Ekiti,Nigeria

The scripture says“I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as your soul prospereth.”
The plan of God for your life is to be successful.
But what is success ? Success  meant different things to differing people.

#    To a student - success is pressing the exams in fly colour
#    To a farmer - success could mean a bountiful harvest
#    To a mother - success means happy sons, peaceful home and comfortable living
#    To an evangelist - success means much people giving their lives to Jesus
#    To a politician - success means securing political appointment or winning elections
But for success to be genuine and total it must involve all the departments of life:
#    Spiritual - Are you born again# Are you free from Satanic attack
#    Physiological - Is your body okay# Are you free the stomach ulcer
#    Social – Are you relating with others excellently well#
#    Career - Are you going up in your profession, are you publishing papers.
#    Marital - Are you living foot prints for generation unborn
#    Financial – Is there enough money in your pocket
#    Family success - Are your children doing well
#    Emotional success - Is the family yoke broken - is there still some ancestral curse troubling your family#
Good success is not only about money.
At a time John D. Rockefeller  was the richest man on the planet but he was living only on milk and semi-solid. He couldn’t eat normal food!

To succeed spiritually

#    Be born again. Don’t only go to church, get out of sin. Get committed in the church: Study the bible. A lot of people can be on phone for hour; they can’t read the bible for 5 minutes.
#    They can watch movies for 3 hours, but they can meditate or pray for 10 minutes.
If you can’t pray, you will be a spiritual wreck.

To succeed physiologically

You have to be vigilant to be able to keep your body in a good working condition. Watch out for danger signals - incessant headache, stomach problems that is resisting all forms of treatment. See a doctor if necessary. The scripture is not against the use of medications: Don’t kill yourself before the time.
#    Take a time off if the stress is overwhelming. Eat good food
#    Drink little quantity of artificial, chemical saturated juices.
#    Take good quantity of water and fruits
#    Avoid eating too much, it is as dangerous as consuming alcohol

To succeed socially

#    Take good care of your mood
#    Don’t harbor un-forgiveness
#    Don’t close doors suddenly you may need to pass through that door again
#    Watch out for bad influence and avoid them. Friendship is by choice, not by force
#    Watch your tongue, don’t slaughter people with your lips
#    Avoid your anger, run from unprofitable arguments. You may win the argument but you will lose your friend.
“How forceful are right words, but what does your argument reproof”. Job 6:25

To succeed in your career

#    Study continuously
#    Learn regularly
#    Understand office politics and refuse to be a victim
#    Pray for helpers
The scripture says: whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
It is your doings that will precipitate your prosperity.

To succeed in marriage

#    Make God the foundation of your home
#    Be determined to work things out, no matter how difficult
#    If you are to get married be careful. Don’t marry because of pity, pressure, prophecy, a push pressure. Marry because of love and leading of God
#    Take care of the way you talk to your spouse

To succeed financially

#    Generate money
#    Manage money
#    Invest money
#    Multiply it
#    Pay your tithe to God through his servants

Before we close:
Success is a universal citizen, it exist whenever sun shines. You are not failing because of your background or your location, you can succeed wherever you are, and give your generation something to celebrate.
Don’t forget 3John1:2
“I wish above all things that they mayest prosper and be in health even as your soul prospereth.”
Text: John 10:10
Jesus did not come to save us from hell only; He came to give us fullness of life in the present world. God is a good God who wants to bless the people spiritually, physically and economically.
If you are not enjoying the fullness of divine blessings, it is never His fault.
The underlisted points will help you to enter into abundant life.
1.       Be sure that you have entered a special relationship with God through the new birth.
Until you become a genuine child of God, it is not possible for you to enjoy the benefits of redemption.
2.       Have a joyful approach to life, avoid sorrow of heart, complaining and murmuring. Isaiah 12:3, Psalm 118:24, Phil. 4:4. Act happy even if you are not.
3.       As much as possible be at peace with all men. (Roman 12:18, Heb 12:14). You are not to harbour unforgiveness or bitterness. Don’t keep malice or nurture hatred.
4.       Treat others gently, not harsh or critical. Everyone you meet today is a potential V.I.P., don’t be wicked under the guise of being strict. Let your graciousness be known to all. (Matt. 7:3–5).
5.       Pray to God like your father, ask Him simply and humbly whatever you need according to His will Phil. 4:16, Luke 11:9
6.       Be sure that the presence of God is with you always. Do not do anything to grieve the Spirit of God. Don’t go to any place where Jesus wouldn’t have accompanied you to.
7.       Open your mind to the wisdom of God.
Divine wisdom will open any door, secure wealth generation ideas and put the host of hell to permanent shame. Let your mind be ready to receive from heaven always. Eph. 3:10-11, Psalm 104:24, Prov. 8:1-2, 17-18
Procrastination is defined as, "to defer action, delay, to procrastinate until an opportunity is lost". One study defined it as “postponing the completion of a task to the point of feeling uncomfortable about one’s delay.” Naturally, Satan and the world system want us to waste our precious time and pass into eternity having accomplished nothing of eternal value. Thus, anything that causes us to waste our time is a spiritual issue. Thoreau captured this truth when he wrote: “As if you could kill time without injuring eternity".How many of us would drop twenty dollar bills out of our car window as we drive down the highway or smash Rolex watches with a hammer as a means of relaxation? Yet, many of us consistently waste the most valuable resource available to us—our time. Benjamin Franklin put it this way: “Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time; for that’s the stuff life is made of.”{1} From a biblical perspective, Paul admonishes us: “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:15-16)

Examples Of Procrastination In The Bible:

1.The children of Israel delayed in moving to the promised land: So Joshua said to the Israelites: "How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you? (Joshua 18: 3 NIV)
2.Marcus Antonius Felix, governor of Judea in 52 AD, delayed his salvation when Paul witnessed to him: "And as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, “Go away for the present, and when I find time, I will summon you.” Acts 24:25
3.Songs Of Solomon 5:2-6..In that parable the Man delayed in opening the door for his beloved, when he finally opened, the bride has disappeared.

Five Types Of Procrastinators

The Thrill-Seeker: If you’re a thrill-seeker, then you procrastinate because you actually get a rush from completing things last minute. You feel that you thrive under pressure and you love the adrenaline you get from handing in work in the last possible minute. However such people never enter into their full potential because they spend so little time on their projects?
The Avoider:  The Avoider runs away from the discomfort of going through with a task that either is unpleasant or has high stakes. Avoiders are almost always too focused on what others might think. They run away from fear of failure or sometimes even fear of success.
The Indecisive Procrastinator: The Indecisive Procrastinator simply can’t make a decision. Usually, this is a result of the fear they will be blamed for a negative outcome. This type of procrastinator runs away from responsibility. After all, if they’re not making a decision, the result won’t be their fault.
The Perfectionist: Perfectionists set such high standards for themselves that they become overwhelmed. This type of procrastinator might even get started on work, which the other kinds of procrastinators usually have a hard time doing, but they fail to finish when they can’t meet the unrealistic expectations they set for themselves. Because they can’t do something perfectly, then nothing gets done at all. Cue cycle of anxiety and shame.
The Busy Procrastinator :Busy procrastinators are just too busy to actually get down to the bottom of their to-do list. Everything seems equally important and they can’t decide what to do first. Choosing only one task would mean that the others won’t get done.

Reasons Why People Procrastinate:

Procrastination is the mother of all limitations, the arch enemy of our dreams and the most common complaint from potential stars. Most people have big, bold and beautiful dreams, some people even know exactly what they need to do in order to achieve them, but for some, seemingly unknown, reason most people find themselves stuck with an inability to translate intention into action.
The major reasons for procrastination can be deduced from the types of procrastinators that we have. Yet we still need to isolate those reasons for sake of clarity.
1. Indecision: "A double minded man is unstable in all he does."  (James 1:8 LB)  When you don’t make up your mind on time, you automatically postpones action. The groom in the SOS 5;did not decide on time to open the door.
2.Perfectionism:It's hard to get anything done if it needs to be perfect, because if you're constantly criticizing the work there is always more work to be done. But the real problem comes in when you don't even want to do the work because making it perfect seems too daunting: This is how perfectionism can lead to procrastination.
3.Fear: Whenever we’re afraid of something, we tend to put it off. It could be the fear of failure or even the fear of success. What if I fail or worse yet, what if I achieve it, how do I top that? Fear can keep you from making that tough phone call, scheduling that counseling appointment, sharing your faith, volunteering your talents or pursuing your dream. King Agrippa was afraid of the unknown, that was why he procrastinated his salvation.
4.Coziness: When you are too relaxed and comfortable...sensing no need to achieve more, procrastination becomes very easy.
5.Laziness:When you lack energy or sleep excessively, the next obvious thing is to shift what want to do to another time.
6.Confusion:Sometimes the task just looms in front of you as a big block, like a building with no doors.  You walk around its perimeter and you don’t immediately see a way in.  How do you get in?  Where do you begin?  You can’t figure it out, so you set the task aside because you are confused.
7.Anger or Resentment: A very different cause of procrastination  is resentment. This person says, “I know I should be starting this task, but my spouse has been bugging me about it and I am going to show them that I am in control of my own time.”
8.Distraction:Distractions are every where.Phone calls,TV programs,Internet etc   and even low priority task can constitute themselves into distraction and waste your time...forcing you to procrastinate.
9.Low Action Identity.   Some personality have the tendency to always be slow to act. This means that despite their often highly specific intentions, they consistently defer the actualization of their intentions by procrastinating.
10. Helplessness in the face of complexity: We look at a task at hand and feel intensely un-resourceful.  It may remind us of something we had to do when we were younger, before we had the skills to conquer it (even though that’s no longer the case). Or it may actually be a daunting task at our current skill level.  Either way, the task seems far too complex, so we try to avoid it.
11.Fatigue/Stress :When you are easily tired...you automatically put yourself in a fix.Things become stagnant and procastination comes automatically.
12.Skill Deficits:Skill deficits are one of the most basic reasons for procrastination. If you lack the skills to complete certain tasks, it is only natural to avoid doing them. For example, you may be a slow reader. If you have several lengthy articles to read before you can write a paper, you may postpone the reading because it is difficult. You may even have trouble admitting your poor reading skills because you do not want to be seen as seem "dumb." Thus procrastinating may seem better than facing your need to improve your reading skills.
13. Reactive Depression: Reactive depression occurs when you have experienced a trauma in your life which has broken the normal hormonal functioning cycle that motivates you in your day-to-day life. The body has become overloaded with stress through an event, which may have been physical injury or psychological shock, causing the adrenal glands to overload then slow down. You feel like you do not have much energy or cannot be bothered do to do anything. You procrastinate about decisions or being involved with tasks.
14.Lack Of Structure: Structure (with respect to what we are talking about) simply means a pre-defined arrangement or system of getting things done. When this is lacking any complex task will never get done easily.
15.Overwhelming Task: Being overwhelmed can stifle us. When there’s just too much to do, we can freeze. There are so many urgent things to do, that it seems impossible to handle. So instead of getting on with it, against what would seem obvious, we go off on a tangent and do something entirely different instead.
16.Inability to prioritize: . Those who cannot view the tasks at hand and place them into different categories based on their level of importance sometimes have difficulty getting anything done because they are constantly switching from one task to another or trying to decide what to do next.

Dangers Of Procrastination

1.Loss Of Time: When you procrastinate, you lose precious time. Time lost can never be recovered. It is lost forever.Time is life: When people kill time they are not committing murder they are committing suicide. Every man is like a bottle of pharmaceutical, he has an expiry date. A date after which his usefulness is cancelled. Your major aim should be to achieve before you expire. Therefore, let everyday of your life count concerning your purpose for life. Williams James said the value of life is not computed by its duration but by its donation.
2.Loss Of Opportunities: The word opportunity has been defined as an occasion or situation which makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do.When you procrastinate you may lose the window of opportunity that is opened in your direction.
3.Decreasing Self Esteem:This is one of the vicious circles you might find yourself in. We tend to procrastinate sometimes because of a low self-esteem, but procrastinating doesn’t only reinforce this, it makes it even lower.
Having low self-esteem destroys lives in many ways. When we have low self-esteem we hold ourselves back, we feel less than we should and it leads to self-sabotaging acts. Procrastination eats away at your confidence, slowly but surely.
4.Inability To Reach Set Goals:With procastination, set goals becomes a tall gream. Not because of lack of ability but because of failure to act when necessary.
5.Failure In Life And Carrier: Many people didn't realize that when we continuously put things off, it will develop into a bad habit.  There are good and bad habits.  When things turn into a habit, we will do them without even thinking about it. Procrastination is a bad habit and if we do not stop the bad habits, it will have an impact on our life.  The longer you procrastinate in doing things that ensure your success, the closer it will lead you to the path of failure in carrier and destiny with certainty.

HOW TO OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION

1.    Get clear about what you want in life. Think well and write down all your goals in some or all of these categories: career, education, relationships, financial, physical, mindset, creative, spiritual, public service, travel, leisure, and other. When you do this your life is automatically given a specific direction and procrastination becomes more dangerous and inconvenient.
2.    Believe in yourself and in your ability to accomplish anything you want. If you’ve lost hope, know that you can turn things around. Release the fear of failure. Failure is just a learning experience. Slow and steady wins the race. A little bit done every day adds up to a lot over a year. If you have to, just fake your belief until it becomes real. Remember, you can do it!
3.    To-Do List: These are prioritized lists of all the tasks that you need to carry out. They list everything that you have to do, with the most important tasks at the top of the list, and the least important tasks at the bottom.
By keeping such a list, you make sure that your tasks are written down all in one place so you don't forget anything important. And by prioritizing tasks, you plan the order in which you'll do them, so that you can tell what needs your immediate attention, and what you can leave until later.
To-Do Lists are essential if you're going to beat work overload .and overcome procrastination. With this list you'll focus your time and energy on high value activities, which will mean that you're more productive.
4.    Have some quiet time every day And plan the Day In Advance. We are constantly plugged in to our digital world. We constantly have music or sound on. It can be a overwhelming and stressful causing us to tune out of work and life. Give yourself at least 30 minutes of quiet everyday.Use the time to pray, plan and to refocus on the tasks at hand and your ultimate purpose in life.
5.    Eliminate Distractions: It's hard to get any real work done when you keep turning your attention to what's on television or you keep checking your friends Facebook status updates. Assign yourself a period of time during which you turn off all distractions – such as music, television, and social networking sites – and use that time to focus all of your attention on the task at hand.
6.    Break your work into little steps. Part of the reason why we procrastinate is because subconsciously, we find the work too overwhelming for us. Break it down into little parts, then focus on one part at the time. If you still procrastinate on the task after breaking it down, then break it down even further. Soon, your task will be so simple that you will be thinking “gee, this is so simple that I might as well just do it now!”
7.    Identify your most productive times. If you’re more focused in the morning, set aside this time for your biggest, most complicated projects. Putting off important work until the times when you’re less productive is likely to lead to procrastination.
8.    Reward yourself at project milestones. When facing a large task, break the overall project down into several smaller milestones and set up rewards for achieving each new deadline. Make sure the rewards are things you’ll be excited to receive (for example, a new book or a nice dinner out) in order to truly give procrastination the boot.
9.    Take a visualization break. If you find yourself struggling to take action in the face of overwhelming procrastination, take a few minutes to visualize the end result you’re trying to achieve. If you’re trying to lose weight, picture your newly-fit self skipping down the beach in a bikini. If it’s a business project you’re struggling with, visualize the extra money being deposited into your bank account or your boss congratulating you on a job well done. Make your visualizations as realistic as possible and you’ll soon want to experience this same success in real life!
10.    Work on a different project: One sneaky way to get around your procrastination is to start work on another, more appealing project. Then, while you’re hard at work, switch gears and get back to the task you’re procrastinating on. You’ll find it’s a lot easier to make the transition when you’re already working than when you’re wasting around on the couch.
11.     Seek order.“The difference between an amateur and a professional is in their habits. An amateur has amateur habits. A professional has professional habits. We can never free ourselves from habit. But we can replace bad habits with good ones. We can trade in the habits of the amateur and the addict for the practice of the professional and the committed artist or entrepreneur.”
Do you have a schedule that you follow? Do you have a routine in place? The best way to defeat habits of procrastination and the inability to start anything is to streamline everything. Take the guesswork out. Know what it is that needs to be done and dive into it. Don’t think.
12.    Change Your Environment: Gather only what you need to work on the task, take yourself out of your normal work environment and go to a conference room, another office, the library, a co-working space, a friend’s house — anywhere where you will not be distracted by your normal routine and people that you know.
13.    Take Mini-Breaks.When you begin to lose focus, take a 5-15 minute break away from your work area. Do something totally unrelated to work (e.g., take a quick walk, create a cute label, eat some fruit, listen to music, stretch).
14.    Embrace Imperfection. One of the reasons we procrastinate is to avoid having to make tough decisions and deal with a difficult task. If you’re trying to write the perfect paper, coming up with the perfect thesis can be so intimidating that you don’t even want to get started. Instead of always aiming for perfection, start intimidating projects by just getting started.
15.    Intensive Prayers: Acknowledge that God has given us all of the time we need to accomplish everything He wants us to accomplish. Since that is probably far more than we normally accomplish, we need to invite God to lead our time management initiative. We need to pray for a clear understanding of God’s priorities and perspective. If we are dealing with laziness, we should ask for self-control. If we are dealing with emotions such as resentment or fear, we need to ask God to take our thoughts captive in obedience to Christ. If we are struggling with anxiety, we need His peace that passes understanding. If we are struggling with perfectionism, we need to acknowledge that our total significance is found in Christ, not in our performance. Do not try to bypass this step. Time is a key battleground in the spiritual war. If we run onto the battlefield in our own power and wisdom, we will soon find ourselves hopelessly behind.
16.    Put pressure on yourself. One of the best ways to overcome procrastination is by working as if you had only one day to get all your most important jobs done before you go on vacation.
17.    Maximize your personal powers by resting: When you are fully rested you can get three times as much done as when you are tired. Some once said that you will do well by dividing your day into three. One third to work, one third to play and one third to rest.
18.    Do the most difficult task first. We only have a limited supply of willpower. Once it’s been used up for the day, chances of us tackling hard tasks are pretty slim. Dive into your hardest task when your energy level is at its highest. This will ensure the best results. When we push the hard tasks to the end of the day, it takes a toll on our energy all day long. In the end, stressing for hours over the task we’re procrastinating negatively affects all the other tasks on our list. So next time you’re scheduling the items on your list, make sure to start out with worst one. It may not necessarily be the largest, but it should be the one you’re dreading the most. By accomplishing it so early in the day, you will feel energized and productive. You’ll know the rest of the day is all downhill and cruise through the list with remarkable speed.
19.    Limit how much time you spend on something: One of the best tactics recommended is to limit how much time you spend on something. Limiting how much time you spend on a task makes the task more fun, more structured, and less frustrating and difficult because you’ll always be able to see an end in sight. There are some huge productivity benefits to the idea as well. When you limit how much time you spend on something instead of throwing more time at the problem, you force yourself to exert more energy over less time to get it done, which will make you a lot more productive.
20.    Set a mid-day alarm. There’s nothing more guilt-inducing than ending a day and realizing you haven’t accomplished a single task. We can avoid this rut by setting an alarm on our phone to ring everyday around 1 p.m. When the ringer goes off, assess how many things on your list have been attended to.
Re-plan your schedule for the remainder of the afternoon and shift it around to take care of the most important item first. If necessary, you can indulge in a second cup of coffee to jumpstart your “second morning.” By doing this, you will avoid going to bed at night mulling over all the things you didn’t get done.

Time is a gift of God given to men on a non-repeatable basis. It is the measurable period of time in which things happen. Everything you are today and everything you become tomorrow will be determine by the way you think and the way you use your time.Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? …John 11:9
Time is short, but time is sufficient too. To say there is no time is to admit your failure as time manager. There is time but it must be managed efficiently for maximum production.
Here are some twenty time killers you must avoid if you want to live a fruitful life

1)    INDECISION
When decisions are delayed, time is wasted, efficiency reduced and achievement frustrated. Delaying of action or putting off of action steals time and ruins life. According to 2Cor. 6:2, God works in the divine today. In other words we may say there is urgency with God.
If you read Songs Of Solomon.5:2-6 You will find out that because of indecision the man wasted time and his beloved, his heart desire could not be found any longer !
2) INDISCIPLINE
If we do not control ourselves, we may not wake up to perform our task. You may need to force yourself to do something even when you don’t feel like. If we are not disciplined our time could be:
a)    Controlled by domineering people
b)    Swallowed by things that appeal to the flesh
c)    Governed by the tyranny of the immediate urgent
d)    Used in unimportant conversations
e)    Wasted in day dreaming
    f)  Used in doing things we should delegate
3) PRAYERLESSNESS
The devil is around to steal, to kill and to destroy. If your time must be preserved, you need to take the battle to the gate of the enemy in warfare. Apart, God is the giver of time, he could prompt you through his spirit so you do not squander it !
4) LACK OF PERSONAL ORGANIZATION
·    Can you ever find what you want, when you want it?
·    Is your desk in a mess?
·    Is your whole office upside down that you cannot concentrate on what you are doing per time?
·    Do you have a good filing system?
Answer to all these questions will tell you how organized you are, and where some of your time is going.
5) MEETINGS
Meetings, fraternal gatherings, special round table meetings could affect the time allocated to other tasks. Not all meetings should be attended; you can send representatives, all depending on your priorities.
6) FREQUENT INTERRUPTIONS
Interruptions are part of daily living but when they become too frequent they can become unwanted time waste.
a)    Visitors: when you give all attention to all visitors and pretend as if they are welcomed at all times, they will stay long and waste your time. Visitors should be screened and given appointment times.
b)    Telephone calls: just one telephone call can break your momentum. The solution is (i) use of voice mails (ii) take phone off the hook (iii) switch off the mobile phone (iv) give your mobile phone to another person to answer.
7) AFTERNOON LETHARGY
Tired feeling after heavy lunch, high environmental temperature can cause drowsiness, sluggishness and an inability to concentrate. All this will delay action and waste precious hours.
8) LENGHTY COUNSEL
Problems are not removed through one lengthy counsel. Counsels longer than 30 minutes may no longer be effective. Leaders must understand the power of following up counsels and the efficacy of special assignments for the counselor.
9) GOSSIP
Gossip consumes time. You may know when it started but you may never not be able to control when it will end. It drains the brain, destroys your day, reduces your worth and wastes your hours.
10) INABILITY TO SAY NO
A leader who wants to be successful must not be a yes man. He needs to know how to say No. When you are always saying yes, you will accept to do what you cannot do and you may go to places where you shouldn't go and waste your precious time.
11) INSUFFICIENT DELEGATION
Time is wasted when they are expended on tasks that can easily be performed by others. It is better to put ten men to work than to do the work of ten men. Leaders who don't delegate  will suffocate and be paralyzed before they enter into the red.
12)MALORGANIZATION IN THE SYSTEM
When there are no distinct line of organizational structure, time may be wasted as there will be frequent meetings during which “who" to do "what" will be appointed.
13)LAZINESS
Lazy people must necessarily waste time on bed, in the house doing routine cleaning etc. If you are too lazy to do what you ought to do on time, you will find yourself doing what you ought to have done yesterday, today.
14) LACK OF PLANNING
When you don't even know what you should be doing per time, you are not only wasting your hours, you are wasting your life. Every minute spent in planning saves ten minutes in execution. It is therefore helpful to write a list of the things that have to be done and to rank them in the order of importance.
15) CRISIS
Interpersonal crisis occurring frequently will unavoidably be wasting the time of the leader. He may need to sit down for hours talking and settling differences. Time that could have been invested doing other things is therefore wasted.
16) SICKNESS
Time spent on the sick bed are wasted times. Frequent sickness is a terrible time devourer. Adequate precautions should therefore be taken to avoid sickness as much as possible. Such precautions include
⦁    Effective prayers
⦁    Adequate rest
⦁    Regular exercises
⦁    Use of prophylactics
⦁    Right use of the tongue
⦁    Good nutrition
⦁    Personal hygiene
17) LACK OF PRIORITIES
When you attempt to perform too many tasks at the same time, time is consumed and the work remain undone. There is therefore the need for a realistic priority scale, so that first thing can be done first. Things which matter most  never be at the mercy of things which matter least.
18)TELEVISON SETS
Television and movies can be useful when it comes to relaxation and specific edification. But a lot of people are grounded in life, wasting precious hours because of programs and plays that have nothing to add to their destinies. Hours that could be used in active meditation, planning and programming are consumed and wasted before the television set. Meanwhile most people that appear on T.V because of distinction are too busy to watch  T.V
19) READING
Readers are leaders. People who will not read today may not amount to much tomorrow. However, some readings are nothing but sheer waste of time. Reading of newspaper at prime periods or reading fictional writings can become stubborn time wasters. Romantic novels, entertainment magazines may not really add anything to you, but destroy your time.
20) WORRY, FEAR AND PANIC
Whenever there is much difficulties and overwhelming problems a lot of time may be wasted in unnecessary thinking, anticipation and panic. Meanwhile, most things people worry about never happen, as such time used in worrying is wasted.

Beloved, there is nothing that cannot be done. The impossibilities of yesterday are the possibilities of today. In 1923, Robert Millikan a Nobel Prize winner in Physics said “there is not likelihood that man can ever tap the power of an atom”. (But today, we are all aware of Nuclear energy and the reality of atomic bomb)
In 1885, Lord Kelvin said “Heavier than air flying machines are impossible”. But we all know aero planes now! Another man, a Bishop also said its impossible for man to fly and that only angels are intended to fly”. Coincidentally, the first flying plane was made by his two sons!
In 1954, there were medical articles that said human body can’t run 1 mile in 4 minutes. Yet the same year, Roger Banister a young medical student went out and run a mile under 4 minutes.
Therefore, understand that there is nothing that cannot be done. All you need is a strong desire.
Psalm 145: 15 – 16
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
God is a specialist in satisfying desires.
Desire is an unbeatable force. It has well been defined as what you cannot live without. And all through the Bible and secular history, we saw the power of desire.
#Moses desired to free the children of Israel from servitude. It made him kill an Egyptian and eventually he ran away. But we all know God later made him a deliverer.
#Jacob desired strongly to escape the looming death from the hand of his senior brother Esau. That desire made him hold tenaciously to the angel and his name was changed for better.
#Jabez had a strong desire for a change of status. The desire propelled him into effective prayer and he received his miracle.
#Henry Ford’s desire was to make automobile available to every family in America. He became one of the most successful business men in the world.
#Helen Keller’s desire was to learn to speak and she became one of the world’s outstanding citizens though she was blind.

Friends, what God has placed in you and before you is far more than your imaginations. You have greater ability than you ever dare to believe. But it will take strong desire to bring it out.
Let me expatiate on what desire will do:
Luke 19: 1-6
[1] Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. [2] A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. [3] He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. [4] So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. [5] When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." [6] So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

Zacchaeus had a strong desire to see Jesus.
1. Desire imparts speed v3 says he RAN. It will also be recalled that when Gehazi desired the clothing materials of Naaman, he received an unction to run and overtake chariots of Naaman
2. Desire overcomes obstacles. The crowd wanted to stop Zacchaeus, but a man with a strong desire cannot be stopped.
A wise man once said:
If you have your heart fixed on what you want, there is nothing that can be done to stop you from getting it.
3. Desire commands divine attention.
When Jesus came to where Zacchaeus was, he was forced to look up!
When your desire is righteous, God will be forced to listen to you. Actually, there is nothing like fruitful prayers without genuine desires.

How do you generate desire:
1. Have a goal, a dream. Dream precipitates desires. Thomas Edison dreamt of lighting the world with lamps and he pursued the dream ceaselessly though he paid the price of 10,000 failures, he gave light to the world. Martin Luther King Jnr had a dream of seeing apartheid eradicated in America. The desire generated by that dream was so great that in the face of death he didn’t budge. When he saw Jr Kennedy shot, he even told his wife categorically that his is how I will die – and truly that was how he was shot!
Paul the apostle had a dream of seeing Isreal converted. He said in Rom 9:3
For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh. KJV
Another translation
Indeed, I could wish that I myself might be sentence to separation from Christ, if that, will benefit my brethren, my own kinsmen race.
That dream brought out an undefeatable desire in him such that when the Holy Ghost said bonds and afflictions were waiting for him in Jerusalem he did not fear.
He said categorically;
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself”….he said again in Act 21:13 “I am ready not to be bound only but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus”
To generate desire, have what you are pursuing and know it.

2. Put your goals on paper and keep reading it to yourself. Give yourself a daily pep talk, and stay excited
Hab 2:2
Write the vision and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readth.
If you read, you will run. Therefore, put something down to read so, as soon as you begin to read it, you’ll receive power to run.

3. Stay competitive: develop a sense of healthy competition with others involved in the same vocation.
If you desire to excel in business for example, you need to develop a healthy spirit of competition to be the top businessman in your area…

Finally
Are you saved? Do you have the assurance that your name is in the book of life.
