The anointing is God's ability in you to enable you to do something with ease, without it being a struggle. It can be described simply as the fuel of God’s presence on one for the purpose of fulfilling divine assignment. The anointing imparts joy, passion, zeal, spiritual power, perceptible glory, confidence and authority. It is the power to preach,teach,sing,witness,perceive,trade,convince,convict, and even do spiritual warfare.The anointing is the burden remover and the yoke breaker.
The anointing is the ability to function supernaturally
The anointing is the strength to perform God ordained tasks with ease
The anointing empowers an ordinary person to achieve extraordinary things
The anointing is the power from Heaven that enables an individual to experience cheap victories
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.( Acts 10:38 )
In other words anointing is th power to do good.
The first mention of the word anointing is found in Exodus 25, and it is used in the context of preparing an offering for the first tabernacle in the wilderness where God intend to dwell.It therefore means,according to the law of First Mention,that having the anointing is compulsory for anyone that God intend to use.
Every Child of God Carries A Measure Of The Anointing
Everyone born of God through the new birth experience has a degree of this enablement.
But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.(1John2:27)
When the disciples were sent out By Jesus,even without receiving any special endowment,demons were bowing down and screaming before them.That is nothing but the aoininting.
The Anointing On You Can Be Increased
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him (John 3:34).
Here God gave Jesus ,the anointing WITHOUT MEASURES.It simply implies that the anointing is fundamentally in measures.
Elisha received double portion of Elijah’s anointing…meaning he was more anointed!
Moses carried more anointing t0han Jacob,that was why he was able to revoke some of the curses Jacob put upon his sons.
Peter was more anointed in the later part of his ministry than the beginning. You will find out that deep into the new testament, Peter’s shadow healed the sick and harassed unclean spirits
How To Increase The Anointing
1.Waiting On God In Prayer Closet: Jesus told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they receive a new outpouring of the anointing.Locking up yourself for lengthy period of time calling upon God for fresh fire will increase your anointing.I know men who regularly every month lock up themselves for 72hours to pray…no visitor,no distraction…only prayers and the word Isaiah 40:31
2.LoveOf Righteousness:
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.(Psalm 45:7)
When you pursue after righteousness and live a life that pleases God…he will bestow more anointing on you
3.Fasting And Prayers
A life of self denial will suppress the flesh,increase your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and grant you greater authority in the spirit realm.Jesus once said tat some evil spirit will only obey people who are given to Fasting and prayers.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting" (Mt 17:21
4.Use What You Have:
Operate in your present level of your anointing faithfully and diligently and see how God will increase you.
If you are idle with that level of unction in your life,you don’t expect God to grant you more.
5.Associate with the anointed: God chose Joshua, a stranger from a different tribe, over anyone in Moses’s family. Moses’s family was so familiar with him that they turned against him. God chose the man who had been ministering to Moses.
Joshua was then anointed because Moses laid hands on him and influ-
enced his life. (Deuteronomy 34:9, Numbers 27:18)
